Correct my if I’m wrong, but aren’t police supposed to come to the aid of someone who is obviously gravely injured? This seems to be more like a war than police protecting the public.

Interesting article that has got it quite right except no mention of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) being the most dangerous government on earth; not necessarily to ”the region,” as they say, and oh, how they wish that were so, but to the ordinary Iranian people – repressive like China and North Korea – using their military arm in no different a way than how the Shah used his dreaded (CIA-trained) SAVAK, or how Nicolae Ceauşescu used his ”Securitate” in Romania.
I have written elsewhere that the Iranian military with nukes would be scary enough, but an IRGC with nukes? I can’t even fathom that one yet. For now I’ll just note that IRGC is Iran’s ”1%” in every way, and they are terrorists, and they aren’t even religious. In fact, they hijacked Imam Khomeini’s 1979 Islamic Revolution. Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei isn’t a genuine article religious cleric as compared to the Grand Ayatollah Hossein Ali Montazeri, and Ahmadinejad is the Iranian equivalent of a Tea Party populist nut. Both, plus the stolen election are backed by the IRGC; that is, Ahmadinejad and Khamenei are tinhorn fronts for the IRGC.
