Hi all. Adoration, thank you for your message and link to Danny Schechter’s site. I listened to the radio interview of David from May 4. Sounds like he’s very busy working with the occupy movement, so I forgive his absence from his internet sites.

I’ve been busy trying to educate my facebook contacts and help my son start a new business venture. My 20-month-old granddaughter also consumes much of my time. We all need to have a real life from time to time. And some days I just think I’m too old for all of this, and need to depend on you younger folks to dig us out of this mess.

And all the election crap on TV just drives me nuts. Elections are the last thing that will cure the problems in this country.

Just as we ran out of time in stopping Shock and Awe in 2003, I agree ”we’re running out of time” to prevent WW III – as brought to us via Iraq, Iran and Russia, in that order…

The GHWB-CIA and Cheney-Bush White House (neocon) dominates Wall Street, K Street, and the Israel lobbies that literally pay the Congress to keep us warring in Afghanistan. And through the CIA co-opted State Department (see Hillary Clinton and Lanny Davis), they are edging us closer and closer to war with Iran. Because Iran has nukes? No, but because war is how the Military Industrial Complex (defense contractors) and Israel bilk the US treasury out of billions to satisfy an insatiable 1% greed. Since neither national security nor Israeli security is the issue, all we’re fighting against is their made-up, but very real and costly war(s). Putting an anti-war candidate at the top of our ticket, and reviving the anti-war spirit and activism is something we can do while the various #Occupy #OWS #nycga (New York City General Assembly) and #ows99percent groups are figuring out what to do next.

Yes, stop the wars now! Bring all of our troops home now, and the thousands of private contractor Halliburton and Blackwater mercenaries that are occupying Iraq and Afghanistan. If the United States is occupying Iraq with a future war against Russia in mind, and intending to use the occupation of Iran and Afghanistan as doorstep stepping stones, that plan or policy won’t work for two reasons: Russia and Iran. Neither will have it. And the fight will be long and bloody, and we won’t win. But from the point of view of the Military Industrial Complex (defense contractors) and Israel, win or lose, the longer the war the better. Wall Street will make their usual killing, and Israel will become more of a military nightmare than it already is – not only for the Palestinians, but for ordinary israelis as well; having to live in an armed encampment no different than Iran or Russia under attack from the US, the UK and Israel (#USUKI).

We are at a place just now where the various #Liberation movements, particularly in the US, the UK and Israel, can shift into a full-tilt anti-war mode, and still petition the (1% dominated) government, for 99% fairness on good paying union jobs, food, housing, healthcare, heating oil, and education, and that the 1% pay their fair share. So yes, I agree that ”everyone should get on board to organize anti-war demonstrations as a priority for 2012.” A great quote for the New Year, and wish مع السلام — dxm

rita i think that not only the citizens needs to step up their efforts in stopping this but also the enlisted men needs to stand up and tell them they are tired of murdering for greed. thanks for the article.

if only people would wake up in sufficient numbers we could stop this.i read something about the national guards were being given a questionaire would they take up arms against the american people they put their guns down causing one of the commanding officer to start having chest pains.the person reporting this has not confirmed it yet but i would bet the source is legit.thank you for all of the hard work you have been doing Rita.

I share your despair Rita, my hopes for the people are, at this time, crushed.
I participated in a local occupy protest but the constant angry ridicule from passers by really unnerved me. It was uplifting to share with fellow open minds but depressing to realize that we are still a tiny misunderstood minority.
And with mainstreams firm grip on the psyche of the people the psychotic Elite set in motion their plans- the murderous extermination of a large portion of life on this planet.. easily the most evil event witnessed by it.
We continue the struggle, because we must, but now is the time to prepare for the worst.

Interesting. I got one from my rep, Vern Buchanan, concerning STOCK and how he supported it and was doing SOOOO much for FL……. I also get cheesy ”surveys” from the same rep asking half baked questions and wanting our opinions. They usually come with a comment section so of course I bend their ears with my opinion about the questions or how they were asked.

I will applaud Sen. Bill Nelson as he does a much better job of keeping us informed about MOST of the issues facing our state. He also will notify us of issues that are controversial…He states why he voted the way he did. I definitely appreciate HIS notifications, as they are closer to the truth. Probably NOT 100% but certainly much closer than Buchanan’s.

Buchanan has been investigate numerous times for his actions at his car dealerships. Everyone around knows his history yet he continues to get re-elected due to a small base of very wealthy constituents.
