New Ways Forward: 1 year, 1 month ago · ViewThere’s apparently a new party declaring itself in Israel, called the Israeli Direct Party (ha’yeshira), that plans to use social networking to get a seat in Parliament and then allow members to have full visibility, vote for votes, and even PROXY them to other members!! I’m very curious about this ”Open Knesset” approach. They’re just beginning with very little momentum, but why not?

Welcome. I think at this point the best advice is to simply dive in at will. The main difference here vs., e.g., FB, is that most people here already have a pretty good feel for The Big Story of corporate imperialism, so you won’t have to waste too much time debating Demoblicans or sideshow-sidetracked microactivists.

I agree. David says AmpedStatus is regularly shut down, so it may be a smart move. I’m looking for a home for an idea of mine called QED (Quorum E-Democracy: http://www.facebook.com/home.php#!/group.php?gid=140980385930423), and these are interesting avenues to pursue.

New Ways Forward: 1 year, 2 months ago · ViewMy suggestion is to create an online legislature structured to match Congress to whatever level of resolution (i.e., subcommittees, even), populate it like a forum/group and let the bickering be local to specific issues, with the advantage of conduct rules and VOTES to promote ACTION. I think CS doesn’t give a shit about anything that isn’t important, and he’s smart enough to know that David has his finger on the trigger of the real smoking gun. I like the email. I don’t know what CS has done to deserve SO MUCH condemnation, but if this email is any indication, I like him. Seems like somewhere inside his fucked-up status is someone thinking clearly.

I have information to the book of Genesis and Revelations and hold items to put both back together. So it’s not little momentum, 12 years slowly climbing to the top of the mountain even though some things have been flawed or covered up in the past. I was always taught that Extra Credit in life would get you to the ultimate answers………So be it
