    Rallying support for the 99%

Thank you @Alison, for the nice things you always say. And yes, although we don’t agree on all things, we could double-down on the things we do agree on, and on what we agree on with @ddegraw, Occupy Evolver and the Money Out Pack.

I would hope we could immediately agree on #Occupy-ing the steps and the offices of our respective Representatives and Senators; to rally for legislation that is about to be voted on on the House and Senate floor, and with the help of The Nation and Katrina vanden Heuvel, and MoveOn, and the literally millions of MoveOn members on their mailing list, thousands could be drawn to our congressional members’ field offices, to encourage them to vote in favor of legislation that benefits the 99%, and/or to vote against legislation that favors the 1% at the expense of the 99%.

So what are we doing at the AmpedStatus/Network and Money Out Pack to get the help we need from The Nation and MoveOn, and similar groups that are 99%-friendly, to rally support for this worthy endeavor? What can we do, or where do we go from here? ☛ This is an Action Item!

    Thanks again, Alison.

What to Do If the (Cynicism) Bomb Falls

    bikini_bomb
RT محمد داود العاشر@ – I was encouraged by David’s e-mail excerpt as posted on the News Dissector blog this ayem.

    http://bit.ly/txbWlc

Of course I agree with @ddegraw 100% because he agrees with me re the banking, political baksheesh, and if he put ballot box security (paper ballots, hand-counted) at the top of his shout out list, I would agree with him 150%

maybe we’re talking symantics, but our ”democratic process” is all we’ve got, and taking it back. See ”ballot box security; paper ballots, hand-counted” and electing politcians who will fight for nationalized banking; i.e., shutting down Wall Street banking as usual, and getting money out of ”revolving door” politics on K Street. That’s the whole AmpedStatus/Network story. All the rest of what we ”networkers” do here is lookin’ back, or lookin’ sideways. Lookin’ ahead says we reclaim the democratic process, as you say, ”especially in” [FILL IN THE (local) BLANK]. It aint gonna happen overnight, but we do have a ”local” participation shot at the House and Senate races, both at the State House level and the US Congress, and God help us get Barack reelected. He’s got a lot going against him, even starting with disinterest, disappointment and the same kind of terminal cynicism that I too have been all but diagnosed with. Even the progressives, even the mostly white male voters, who for whatever reason or excuse have bailed on Barack. I have no doubt that the Zionist Likudnikism and Military Industrial Complex (defense contractors) and K Street, as one, is also a factor in the attempting to replace Barack with a Republican, any Republican that can be bought with Koch Brothers money. Wall Street money to Barack is ”have mercy” money – they fear that he will be reelected. We don’t have anyone of our own to effectively ”primary” or ”third party” Barack, but to shoot blanks at this point would only favor the Republican, or worse, the Libertarian (antisocial and Anti-Socialist) agenda anyhow. What we need just now is bigger govenrnent. More IRS, more EPA, more FDA, more DoJ, and we need a Department of Nationalization (a la the politics and financial reform measures and bureaucracy of Venezuela and Citgo USA’s Hugo Chavez).

As for the General Assembly (process), speaking of herding David DeGraw’s cats, see the New York City General Assembly (nycga) effort.

    Hey, voodooman/adoration,

I think you are misrepresenting yourself, your character and your agenda here.

I think you are feverishsly defending inaction in the face of police brutality so that NOTHING changes. I think you are an imposter and a co-opter. I think you are doing your part to keep us scuttling around as powerless and impotent as some cockroaches in a bottle.

Anyone who observes you for any length of time can see this; changing nicks, posting dishonestly (and like a bot), all the while lying outright about your character and the nature of your business here.

    HEY, EVERYONE: http://www.google.com/search?q=”cockroaches+in+a+bottle”

You know what co-option means, and I will say it again.

We will NOT be co-opted! I am talking to you and all those who would use treachery.

I think your agenda here is dishonest. I disrespect your tactics. I see through you. You know this. For this reason, you panic and try to get rid of me to decrease your likelihood of being found out by this forum.

Your tactics of ”lawfare” are the tactics of a co-opter.

Bombenhagel: UNITE AND TURN THE TIDE!
    Co-opter: Reported.

And EVERYONE can see it. They only need to contrast who you SAY you are vs. what you POST and the way you assume whis ENTIRE FORUM is your personal captive audience for your obfuscated Danny Schecter links.

YOU, voodooman. YOU drive other people away from this forum singlehandedly and basically prevent them from joining. I know this for a fact. I have witnessed your deterimental effects on the larger scene in the last week, alone. You’re taking us for stupid, but we’re not stupid.

FOR THE READER: Here is perhaps the most damning piece of evidence. You say you are Muslim, awkwardly & out of context, but you post nothing but Danny Schecter links and you NEVER log out. Are there 3 of you? You think you don’t look suspicious; that other people aren’t watching you as I am, that we can’t see you are running around like a little zionist gnome… WEDGED in here chanting your brand of co-opter voodoo, knowing they can’t say anything or you’ll just make lawfare on ’em.

Voodooman, I am requesting that you never talk to me again.

I extended to you that same courtesy, but you are pushy, voodooman.

YOU JUST DON’T KNOW WHEN TO STOP.

PS – Please don’t try to use your tactics of lawfare on me.

    Observe me.
    Observe you.

My intentions are pure and genuine. Can you say the same? Hey? Voodooman? You are abusing these people; attempting to harness them and steer them and monopolize their ”free-thought time.”

”I hate how they are trying so hard to co opt the [#OWS 99%] movement into a [' George Soros, Lyndon LaRouche, the FBI, CIA, US State Department and/or the Democratic Party and the Obama Administration' ] left or right … We have seen the light and are simply moving forward.” and ”This question brought me here … Many see this as a ’socialist’ movement rather than an American movement … I understand that many folks and support has been from the ’left’ side of the spectrum. And some folks have even been rudely treated for their signs and support of one ’R’ in particular … How can we get past this? I don’t want division, or worse yet a civil war.

dxm’s $0.02’s worth: We have what we have; a usury-driven capitalism that has bottomed out and crashed the global economy, and more locally, from Wall Street to Main Street. When we nationalize the Fed by integrating it into the US Treasury, by necessity we will also have to nationalize Wall Street-to-Main Street banking. The very act of such an implementation (redefining privately-owned banks and transforming them into public utilities) is pure liberal left Bernie Sanders Socialism – no different than municipal lights, water, trash pick up, police, fire and the paramedic.

That’s the dreaded ”socialism” that half the country is scared to death of and wants no part of. Never mind Social Security and Medicare is socialism. When Wall Street banking is barred from gambling with home mortgages, and gouging homeowners with their absolutely unnecessary usury fees, by necessity, all housing transactions will have to be conducted through a publicly-owned Fanny and Freddy. Again, socialism also applies to other corporate entities that have been screwing over the 99% for years. Energy; oil and gas and nukes comes to mind. Banking and housing reforms will open the floodgates of fairness that we’ll otherwise never know without nationalizing the privately-owned ”for profit” corporations that hold sway over life as we know it, but can no longer afford (the luxury of having our resources skimmed off and pocketed by the 1%). Also see food and food safety, workplace safety, and the environment; air and water, and national forests.

The ”R’s” as you say either are themselves 1 per-centers, or they are 99 per-centers that knuckle under to the 1%, even though in so doing it works against their own interests. Any of the 99% who choose voluntary servitude to the 1%’s ongoing exploitation of us, I don’t have a lot of sympathy for. As for the ”civil war” you mentioned, it won’t be like that. The 99 per-centers who fight for the 1% are traitors to We the People, and to the earth, if the truth be known, and they are mercenaries. Neither the police nor the military (99 per-centers themselves) will go against us. See Bahrain, Egypt, Syria, and Yemen, (and Iran), and how the ”99 v 1” scenarios play out over there. Also see Spain, Portugal and Ireland, and England, France and Germany. Socialism isn’t an ideological choice as such, it is a necessity that allows us to live in peace together in an orderly and (more) fair manner for the 99%, which with the 1% controlling nearly 99% of the wealth and resources in this country has been anything but fair or equitable.

As posted by David DeGraw @ddegraw:
The Future Direction Of #OccupyWallStreet To Be Voted On This Weekend

Last night, #OccupyWallStreet’s General Assembly came to a consensus on a timeline to establish a list of demands that the movement will be calling for. On Friday, September 30th, proposals will be made at the General Assembly meeting and through online submissions at OccupyWallSt.org. Throughout the weekend, the proposed demands will be debated and then voted upon.

    http://bit.ly/mQfl09

dxm: I would like to see OccupyWallSt.org adopt the AmpedStatus/Network platform to 1) End the System of Political Bribery (campaign finance, lobbying, revolving door), and 2) Break Up the “Too Big To Fail” Banks and the Federal Reserve. I would like for the AmpedStatus/Network to adopt the banning of usury into its platform. The as yet unnamed Wellstone SMART Brigade has adopted the AmpedStatus/Network platform and is now in the process of aligning with other activist groups. I would encourage the as yet unnamed Wellstone SMART Brigade to align with ”religious organizations” and join with #OccupyWallStreet, and to help all of the above adopt the banning of usury as a demand met that will most efficiently topple Wall Street banks and #ENDTHEFED @EndTheFed

We need all the help we can get

”Any politician who does not support breaking up the “Too Big To Fail” banks and end the Federal Reserve must be voted out of office and replaced by people who will aggressively fight on these fronts.”

In sheer numbers the truly silent majority cannot and should not be dismissed in the participation of our freeing ourselves from the economic stranglehold and enslavement we’ve been subjected to for more than 500 years.

In context, some of the most honorable men I’ve met in this lifetime are lapsed Catholics. Still deeply religious. So ”deeply” as to be religiously invisible. Similarly are some atheistic Jews and Muslims. And Communist Muslims. Communist Muslims? Try Iran’s Tudeh Party – membership outlawed since within a year or two after Imam Khomeini’s Islamic Revolution. Also see ”liberation theology” or Sermon on the Mount Christianity, and the adherents thereof. The belief in a god is not a requirement for the conscientious.

The anti-science Fallwellian-like Tea Party religionists, mostly warmed-over fundamentalist Southern Baptist, King James Version (directly inspired by God) inerrant-types have to believe the earth is around 5,800 years old instead of its actual 3.9 billion years, and that Isaac was Abraham’s ”only” son; that Ishmael was a bastard child, and all of his children since. Jews fared no better having been saddled with the God’s ”chosen people” legacy.

In-between these extremes of social responsibility and monumental antisocial and anti-Socialist hypocrisy are the millions of quasi-monotheistic nominals; Lutherans, Methodists, Episcopalians, and Roman Catholics – populating half of the planet and most of the United States with an actualized and experiential ”one god” (monotheistic) belief system. They are the ”ordinary” Christians or Jews or Muslims respectively because they were born into families of one of those stripes.

Since it is the doctrine of their respective books (The Torah, The Bible and The Qur’an) that usury is already forbidden, we cannot and should not discourage these ”monotheists” from participating in our freeing ourselves from the economic stranglehold and enslavement we’ve been subjected to for more than 500 years … the moneychangers of ancient times and Wall Street today have bought and bribed the kings of old and K Street today into selling us out. Magna Carta has forbidden usury since the mid-1500s. We need all the help we can get, and the religious community certainly has an incentive to be involved in this revolutionary process. Indeed, if called upon to do so, the religious community could spearhead the movement to end the Fed, break up the “Too Big To Fail” banks and nationalize our financial systems.

UPDATE#3: tidying up some Changes To The Common Ground Platform loose ends

    bikini_bomb
RT محمد داود العاشر@ – By various chickenshit means, and mainly through Wall Street, K Street, and the US Congress, and with the help of their sympathetic media, greedy individuals and groups that support the status quo get away with making successful raids on the US Treasury at the expense of ordinary Americans. The poor are impacted disproportionally. Enemies of We the People and the poor should be named, and where possible, brought to justice through RICO. Food availability and food safety, and privately-owned insurance-related health care, and the banks and housing crossroads should be integrated into the ”breaking up the ’too big to fail’ banks and the Federal Reserve,” and the ”ending the system of political bribery – campaign finance, lobbying, revolving door” discussions.

The Military Industrial Complex (defense contractors) and the Israel Lobby, for example, fall into both the banks and Fed, and the political bribery discussions.

In terms of ”topics* of general interest” and attracting new members, I love a good conspiracy as much as the next guy, but there are hundreds of other websites where JFK, fluoride in the water, chemtrails, black helicopters and 9/11 are already discussed. For people whose first interest is other than our taking our government back immediately, except for the assassinations money trail, I don’t know that they need a place in the all new and improved AmpedStatus/Network discussion.

    *See the original AmpedStatus/Network goals ☛ http://bit.ly/rsCh1F

The affordability and access to education, and prison reform, are also discussions that are integral to all of the above, so some reevaluation of where AmpedStatus/Network starts and stops is in order. Who are we here for?

cc: Ed Diver @raingod69 David DeGraw @ddegraw

Reevaluating the AmpedStatus/Network Starts and Stops

I missed out on the Wellstone tools discussion, for coming late, but I also thought it might have been because of my clunky computer. I have since learned there were other problems, as Tom Hall @affinity and M @marrii have alluded to. I wrote to Tom and @ritaj asking for help in getting into what may have been salvaged from the attempt to carry on a ”Wellstone” discussion, but didn’t hear back from either.

I would like to see the ”SMART: specific, measurable, attainable, relevant, and timely” criteria and (working) formula integrated into the AmpedStatus/Network goals. And as I wrote to Ed Diver @raingod69, I think the specifics of ”affordability and access to education, and prison reform” should also be included in the ”breaking up the ’too big to fail’ banks and the Federal Reserve,” and the ”ending the system of political bribery – campaign finance, lobbying, revolving door” discussions.

ON/OFF SUBJECT: Since I have been known to cross-post items of interest (to me), and as per Tom’s jog, I will henceforth refrain from reposting another writer’s links, and instead I’ll do some serious copying and pasting of quotes (as needed) to my own pages directly. It wasn’t necessarily laziness that prevented me from doing it that way in the first place. I just hadn’t thought it through. My alologies.

cc: Tom Hall @affinity David DeGraw @ddegraw

”SMART: specific, measurable, attainable, relevant, and timely”

Al Anderson @alanderson, I suggest you hook up with Tom Hall @affinity and Rita J @ritaj and become acquainted with the ”SMART: specific, measurable, attainable, relevant, and timely” criteria and (working) formula as may be applied to AmpedStatus/Network goals. Also, ”to topple the oligarchy” as you say, my best suggestion to nationalize the banks and End the Fed is to very simply ban usury; a truly revolutionary idea that’s been around for as long as the Monotheists have written (their respective) books on the subject, and as a matter of Magna Carta since King John signed it into law in 1215 – the Doctrine of Usury Act had been on the books since 1571. Gradually, gradually, gradually, since 1517, freedom from the shackles of usury was stolen away from us no different than our right to habeas corpus. See Guantánamo and #BradleyManning

See lemmings watch – in response to Tom’s Friday, August 12, post ☛ http://bit.ly/rsCh1F. Thanks.

I found this video in my email inbox — it was from the newsletter of the venerable @silvershield.

He said his site, dont-tread-on.me, has a broken link to it from Google’s search engine, and he’s right. C’est la révolution.

    Long time no see guys.

I took a break from all news several weeks ago. I figure things are just inevitably unravelling now in this sick world order, and I don’t need to ”prove” that to anyone any more, so I lost a little of my activist fire, and have just done nothing be recreative, self-indugent stuff all this time.

I think about what the ”world order” will be like over the next decade and beyond, and what will be my place in it, and I know that it’s out of my hands to control as I want it, but I (and we all) still have a small say in what course we take and we all will have a lot of work to do to make life good and just for ourselves and for others.

@ddegraw, I saw your plea for funds recently. I’m about a hair’s breadth away from sending you $50 (since I have be a follower of yours for at least ten months), and you can do whatever you will with that — use it to buy more cans of beans for a mountain hideaway if you want, or use it buy copies of Cosmopolitan and GQ and a bottle or two of Grey Goose and just sit back in an armchair and watch the world go down in flames on the television screen if you want — you’ve certainly earned >$5/month for you work. Just give me a little time to arrange for the money to be sent.

@pcvcolin I have great respect for you, from what I know of you. Keep up the activism and the ”doing” part of your good fight. Don’t get too mad when random other people don’t see the world as you do — it is, sadly, human nature to be discordant and prideful and dismissive of truths they are not ready to accept.

    Bye for now.

”I would also like to include a corollary to the four immutable laws of economics namely:

@cookiemonsta. Yes, please join-in in the no-usury discussion HERE. The capitalism-socialism discussion has proven to be quite enlightening; particularly as ”capitalism” and The State each have their place with their appropriate separations, just like church and state. For those who worship money as a god might be worshiped, that kind of ”separation” might be conversationally just about right, and for Atheists too who aren’t possessed by greed.

While reading Paul Rosenberg this morning I happened across a reference to Econo-Blogger Mike Konczal and his blog, specifically his post from January Kristol, Kalecki, and a 19th Century Economist Defending Patriarchy all on Political Macroeconomics. An interesting read and an important reminder that we need to ask ”Who does the economy serve.” and not just how to we free the economy.

It has been said that society, like matter, is composed of individuals, like atoms or molecules. However, an unorganized collection of molecules does not constitute organized matter any more than an unorganized group of people can be called a society. Now on to What is the Plan and some words from Paul Krugman.

@cookiemonsta: ”Changing a system is less destructive than replacing it.”

As a secular matter, I beg you people to help bring down Wall Street, and force We the People’s government of the United States into nationalizing our banks and economic system by evoking the rules of Magna Carta against usury.

As a religious matter, the Torah, the (Christian) Old Testament and New Testament (Bible), and al-Qur’an forbid usury.

David @ddegraw wrote in Countdown to Rebellion: Social Security and Medicare cuts are going to be painful. Good thing we threw trillions at Wall Street and wars. It’s fascinating to watch how the technocratic financial / corporate elite incrementally destroy the American people. Death by a thousand cuts. Each year is another step down in living standards. They always seem to know just how much they can swipe without causing ’civil unrest.’ They put 44 million on food stamps, 10 million on unemployment, etc..
They’re seriously like vampires sucking our blood slowly, turning us into passive beaten down zombies until you realize that you are thousands of dollars in debt, working harder for much less money while everything costs more, have poor future job prospects, loss the ability to retire w/out living in poverty, you jump on prescription meds to deal w/ the stress/anxiety, have failing health and can’t afford treatment.

Time to wake up, the American Dream is o-v-e-r.

    Viva la revolution!

Here are two interesting perspectives we featured:

Obama and Congress to Complete Their Financial Coup: Debt Ceiling Debate Charade Masks Escalation of Attack On 99% of US Population and Buying Passivity With Food Stamps and Unemployment Checks – How Much Longer Until the Status Quo Unravels?

Taking down Wall Street and their financial system is the way to unlock us from our enslavement to them. The key to dismantling Wall Street’s stranglehold is to cut off their life’s blood and blood money. That key is very simply the banning of usury.

Or, rhetorically speaking, and magnetted for refrigerator door reference: ”Is some variation of Bernie Sanders (or Hugo Chávez) ”socialism” and establishing a no-usury financial system the answer and how-to for reversing 700 years of enslavement to the king’s currency?”

Unless you can prove it otherwise, the answer is, ”Yes!” So what are we waiting for?
