I think what bothers me the most is that the IRS is going after these ”outrageous” tax cheats while the others are ignored!
you are right about that everyone i know do not have any or hardly any disposable income left when the irs gets through with them. when general electric only pays 3.4 cents on the dollar the working man pays 35 cents on that same dollar something is wrong with that picture. and that does not take in the individuals who park their money in overseas accounts. good on alison.
wow i just got through looking at the site and why even bother these people, sure they had a little bit of money but to bother these people when they could go after the gazilionaires who are the real tax cheats but not only that they are the ones hurting america the most by shipping jobs overseas, paying the workers they do have here as little as possible and in many cases will not even give them a full time job just so they can save money on insurance and other benefits. it sure was a bunch of doofuses in that group though, something what greed does to people.

Not only valuable for the CNN story, the article serves as an excellent backgrounder so we can see the nuts and bolts of how FDA works, or doesn’t.
The real story here is that we get the money out of food and drugs, and all of the above the same way we want the money out of politics. Like none! No money in politics, nor all of the above!
Educating armies of ”civil service” employees for ”the government” of We the People. What the well known kitchen appliance companies we grew up with do with their products is their business; none of ours, but even the ”American” candy companies we grew up with importing their products from offshore is outlandish, and chickenshit and deceptive. The ingredients are not the same anymore. The candy tastes different than it did before, and what about the ”untouched by human hands” cartoon from the 1950s showing a troop of monkeys packing cookies into cartons for shipping and then wrapped in cellophane. The cookie cartons wrapped in cellophane, not the monkeys. Does anyone remember cellophane?
At my age, I have nothing better to do with my life than lie awake nights thinking of how we might implement systems of social justice.

I would take it a step further and take the money out of EVERYTHING – I am so friggin sick of every company squeezing the last penny out of each of their products – Looked at a toilet paper roll lately? – The cardboard rolls are bigger so less paper per roll – or buy the DOUBLE roll and pay double the price. $10 for a pack of toilet paper? Cans of soup are now smaller. I could go ON AND ON.
Along the lines of those appliances, remember when u bought somethings and it actually LASTED many years? 6 month old $1600 washer/dryer combo – circuit board goes – There’s another $200 just for the replacement part. Who knows what the labor would have been!
Clutch slave from a reputable auto parts store – Well let’s see – After tearing apart the entire transmission and a thousand other parts, u install a $100 part only to find that after you have put it all back together, the replaced part WON’T WORK. So u try another one. Takes 3 tries to get one that actually works? Heck, it’s not like it was DIFFICULT or time consuming or INCONVENIENT – But NO BIGGIE – Gotta make that last penny –
And I won’t even get STARTED on the original ISSUE – Something that can seriously affect someone’s LIFE – ALL to make another buck.

Hello fellow activists….
I have not posted on here for a while, but do come to read and repost to other sights.
As I’m sure all of you are experience…it is hard to live with being awake during this economic and political decline from blatent corruption and fraud, while being constantly lied to by our government and media. Most ”regular” people don’t see what we see, and that can be hard to live with alone. I had to take a break and re-evaluate how to proceed because it became too depressing to accept.
I guess I realized that I had to concentrate on things I can improve to prepare for what I believe will eventually be a long economic depression and/or collapse. It is sometimes hard to know exactly how to prepare for something that no one has really ever truly experienced. However, I realized that I had to start reaching out to people locally..activists or not to start trying to build a network of folks to trust. I have been growing my own food (still learning alot there) during the summer and also trying to remain positive. How are all of you handling this??
I was interested in the post the other day of Dr Michael Burry. He spoke about never stop asking questions and explained how some people deal with the corruption that he saw. He said you can run and hide, you can get mad and fight or you can exploit the opportunities presented in a ”just” as manner as possible. Maybe incorporating the third option could be part of the solution.
