U.S. Court Judgment, December 2011 (Havlish v. Iran)The U.S. court judgment issued in December 2011 (Havlish v. Iran) which blames the Iran government for the 9/11 attacks is part of the propaganda ploy, which consists in demonizing the Islamic Republic of Iran. It is part and parcel of America’s ongoing war against Iran since the overthrow of its U.S.-backed monarchy in 1979.
Like many similar lawsuits in America, this legal procedure’s ultimate goal is to draw off important sums of money from the Iranian government leading to the possible confiscation of assets, thereby further strangling the country’s economy, already targeted by U.S. sanctions, while simultaneously reinforcing Iran’s image of a “state sponsor of terrorism”.
This ruling allows the families involved to claim damages from the Iranian government as well from a number of Iranian State corporations, the amount of which is still unknown, but could reach billions, like last December’s judgement which found Iran liable for the 1983 Beirut bombings.
This judicial procedure is nothing more than another vicious weapon in the fabricated “War on Terror” to be used against another Muslim country, with a view to destabilizing Iran as well as justifying ongoing military threats. It also says a lot more about the people behind the lawsuit than about the accused. The expert witnesses who testified against Iran are very active in warmongering neocon circles. They belong to a web of architects of the 21st century Middle-Eastern wars, ranging from high profile propagandists to intelligence and military officers, including former U.S. officials.
In addition, all three branches of the U.S. government, under both Republicans and Democrats, contributed to make this and other legal attacks against Iran possible, while preventing comparable cases against the Saudi monarchy, most notably a case accusing Saudi Arabia for the 9/11 attacks. Although the evidence pertaining to the role of Saudi Arabia in 9/11 remains classified, the available evidence in the public domaine indicates more connections between Al Qaeda and the Saudi monarchy than those allegedly pertaining to Iran.

British intelligence played a central role in the undercover operation involving a supposed new underwear bomb threat from an al-Qaeda off-shoot in Yemen.
The government this week announced it had foiled an attempt to blow up an airliner with an improved version of the underwear bomb used in the failed attempt to destroy a Detroit-bound plane on Christmas Day 2009.
Subsequently, media reports published official leaks revealing the would-be bomber was actually a CIA informant with ties to Saudi intelligence.
Now it is revealed that the undercover informant was a British citizen, possibly of Saudi origin, working in cooperation with Britain’s two top spy agencies, MI5 and MI6. British authorities put heavy pressure on the Obama administration not to disclose Britain’s role.
U.S. officials initially tried to take credit for foiling the so-called terrorist attack, only to be rather embarrassed once the CIA involvement was made public.
However, Washington is still trying to use the incident to raise the fears of Americans to support a more ubiquitous national security state.
It has also been reported that the undercover agent who foiled an al Qaida plot to blow up an airliner with an underwear bomb is a British national.
UK intelligence were said to have been ”heavily involved” in recruiting the spy who infiltrated a terror group in Yemen in a rare coup for Western agencies.
Quoting sources briefed by Saudi counter-terrorism officials, US television networks said the individual grew up in Europe where he was apparently radicalized.
He was subsequently ”turned” and recruited by Saudi agents last year, they said.
The reports were neither being confirmed nor denied in the UK.
Al Qaida in the Arabian Peninsula is believed to have been planning the spectacular attack with a nearly-undetectable device around the anniversary of the death of Osama bin Laden. But the individual chosen to carry out the attack was an informant who handed over the bomb.
US officials said the would-be bomber was supposed to board a plane to the US and detonate the device inside the country. The CIA became aware of the plot last month.

AMEN Brother!!!!! I was thinking that very same thought as I was reading the ”new” reports of POSSIBLE terrorist attacks! I find it funny that in the USA, we are allowing such intrusive efforts to prevent said terrorist attacks yet many other countries in the world deal with terrorists on a daily basis and yet they have no NEED for BIG BROTHER to protect them. They go about their lives as NORMAL.
I REFUSE to live my life in FEAR of something that may or may not occur. Last I checked, it is more likely I will die in a car accident (or since I am in FL, by getting struck by lightning) than I will due to a terrorist attack.

Yuval Diskin, former head of Shabak (”Shin Bet”), the Israeli counter-espionage agency, was the next in line to come out against the positions held by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Defense Minister Ehud Barak.
As regards relations between Israeli Jews and other ethnic groups, Mr. Diskin said that ”over the past 10-15 years Israel has become more and more racist. All of the studies point to this. This is racism toward Arabs and toward foreigners, and we are also becoming a more belligerent society.”
Above all, he stated that Israeli politicians are driven by irrational motives: ”I don’t have faith in the current leadership of Israel to lead us to an event of this magnitude, of war with Iran (…) I have no faith in the prime minister, nor in the defense minister. I really don’t have faith in a leadership that makes decisions out of messianic feelings.”
Yuval Diskin’s sensational statements were supported by Meir Dagan, former director of the Mossad, and they come on the heels of the views expressed by the Chief of General Staff of the Israel Defense Forces, General Benny Gantz, who acknowledged that Iran is not seeking to manufacture a nuclear bomb.Israel turns the page to 21 years of deception about alleged Iranian bomb [1].
Such a standpoint emanating from Israeli security officials aim to bring politicians to reason and to dissuade them from embarking the country into a war against Iran.
While the Western media paints Israel as a modern state and the ”only democracy in the Middle East,” the country continues to lives under emergency rule and its current leaders belong to extremist sects.
Benjamin Netanyahu and Ehud Barak openly curry favor with ultra-orthodox rabbis like Ovadia Yosef, leader of the Shas political party. The latter considers that non-Jews were born only to serve the people of Israel [2], or that all Palestinians must perish [3]
During his speech at the UN General Assembly in September 2011, Netanyahu spoke about the education he received from his master, Rabbi Menachem Mendel Schneerson, leader of the Lubavitch Hasidic movement [4] It is the Israeli Prime Minister’s personal conviction that this rabbi is the Messiah. He supposedly did not die in 1994, but continues to live hidden in plain sight.
In 2010, in a speech during a ceremony marking the liberation of Auschwitz, Benjamin Netanyahu announced that the prophecy of Ezekiel chapter 37, ”The dry bones,” had been accomplished [5].
Within this logic, the scatological prophecies contained in chapters 38 and 39 are yet to be fulfilled. Israel will have to participate in a huge battle, with heavy casualties on either side, but where God will intervene to save the ”Chosen People.” This sect considers a major war against Iran to be an indispensable stage for the appearance of the Messiah.
According to Yuval Diskin and colleagues, this belief is the only mobile that for years has been driving Benjamin Netanyahu and Ehud Barak to provoke a war with Iran.

All I can say is WOW… While it is one thing to SEE what is going on around us, it is still another to SEE (in print, and laid out as a PLAN OF WAR).

Just an observation, according to the stats for this site, we have 3488 members. There are roughly 15-20 (+ or -) that are active participants. Those numbers have dwindled in the past year or so. So my question is WHY?
Are people too busy with their own lives? Are they afraid? Do they just not care? For me personally, I can say I do not spend as much time here as I have in the past. Part of the reason is that I am sick of spammers but I am also focusing more on preparing my family for whatever may come down the line. I am also becoming more involved with working groups and other affliations that are attempting to address some of the biggest issues on a more local level.
Point being – the war is already lost if we do not take action in SOME SHAPE OR FORM. We CANNOT go quietly into the night. The powers that be are COUNTING on us to NOT DO ANYTHING. Are we sheeple or are we the masters of our own destiny?

The ”stats” were taken from the main activity feed tab that ”shows” the number of members here (currently 3495 members), and the number of posters (real, not spammers) was a guesstimate based on the recent activity member avatars. I sometimes go thru the avatars to see if the icons represent real posters or imposters.
PS Thanks M for posting and a challenge to ANY member here on AS… read this! It is well worth the time and trouble. THEN pass it on. We have the means for mass distribution at our fingertips. We simply have to use them!

The might of the literally active US military forces weighs in on the side of enhancing the 1%’s bottom line rather than in strength alone generating the kind of actual security, and peace dividends (housing, education, health care, and so on) there would be for the American people if there were no wars.
If anyone remembers, in 2008, Barack aced Hillary over the Iraq war, which Hillary voted in favor of, and which Barack campaigned against. Politically, and in terms of 2012, is there an anti-war position to take, David?

In order for the AmpedStatus/Network to exist as a free service open to all (including spam-like interlopers, stalkers, sabotage freaks and mischief makers, trolls, and a half dozen or so really stupid people defined as ranging from imbecilic with set-in-concrete opinions, to profoundly uneducated with the aforementioned opinions more at carved-in-stone, and just as irrelevant but even more at mind-blowingly illogical, and some however who may be perceived as a little bit nuts are in fact the genuine article and fun to read), someone has to pay the bills, and someone bought the AS/N domain name, and is paying the domain host server fee. That was momentous start, and I said all that to say that indeed and in behalf of the legitimate AmpedStatus/Networkers who support the mostly agreed-to goals and who might still like the original platform planks, we are grateful for the free space for free speech… But (yeah-but, here come the buts), how about plunking down a few extra bucks to hire us out a dependable admin once a week or once a month, to at least keep the AmpedStatus/Network site clean and tidy, and free from the ”content” of ordinary off-topic spammers? don’t get me wrong. most of the people who post here, if they write long, or say it in one liners, are sending some good cheer-ups, and are passing along mostly valuable information; warnings, even. The links aren’t necessarily endorsements, ”but sometimes they are,” as a wiser man than I once said. Mainly in the scrabble piece, I was referring to people who are so goddam dumb they don’t even know how goddam dumb they are, even about American history, especially about American history and the Labor Movement! And separate from that, the 1960s, when we already went through some of the things we’re going through now. And some people want to re-invent Ralph Nader’s turning point Corvair, and others through their stupidity would make the same mistakes we already made that caused the movement such as it was to end in failure. And now, four decades later, after Sarah Palin was nominated for the VP slot and lost, we are given another shot at it.

On other social sites Admins state any advertising and your post is deleted, your profile is deleted and that email address can no longer be used to create new ones. Give someone the ability to do this and things would really change around here.

The “territorial” tax system is a euphemism for exempting the offshore profits of U.S. corporations from the corporate income tax.
A territorial system would increase the existing incentives for U.S. corporations to move their operations offshore or use accounting gimmicks to make their U.S. profits appear to be “foreign” profits generated in offshore tax havens.

The tax system already encourages corporations to engage in these abuses because it allows them to “defer” (delay) paying U.S. corporate income taxes on any profits that are generated offshore or made to appear that they were generated offshore.
If allowing corporations to defer their U.S. taxes on offshore profits encourages these abuses, then exempting those offshore profits from U.S. taxes entirely would logically increase this incentive.
The only way to prevent these abuses is for Congress to enact a tax reform that repeals “deferral.” This would mean that U.S. corporations would not pay lower taxes on profits that they generate (or appear to generate) in countries with lower corporate income taxes than the U.S. And, just as in the current system, U.S. corporations would be allowed a credit for taxes paid to foreign governments, to prevent double-taxation.
