    As Seen on (MSNBC) TV

Melissa Harris-Perry commented this ayem on Karl Rove mocking the Obama-Biden campaign’s new ”Forward” slogan.

Although the MH-P panel didn’t say it in exactly those words, or in exactly that word order coupling, ”forward with fairness” is the undeniably obvious essence of what their conversation was quite unintentionally meaning to say; as spontaneously to what their conversation actually implies.

As a ”fairness” bridge to the 99%, and as differentiating Barack from Romney, let the Obama-Biden campaign say it too; those exact words, in exactly that same word order: ”Forward with Fairness!”

See Karl Rove mocks ”Forward” as Obama’s new campaign sloganhttp://bit.ly/ILPlT4

What is Paul Ryan’s (and presumably the Republican and Mitt Romney’s) ”territorial” tax?

    http://bit.ly/IQLnYg

The “territorial” tax system is a euphemism for exempting the offshore profits of U.S. corporations from the corporate income tax.

A territorial system would increase the existing incentives for U.S. corporations to move their operations offshore or use accounting gimmicks to make their U.S. profits appear to be “foreign” profits generated in offshore tax havens.

[A Citizens for Tax Justice (CTJ) fact sheet explains why Congress should reject any proposal to exempt offshore corporate profits from U.S. taxes. Citizens for Tax Justice, “Why Congress Should Reject A ‘Territorial’ System and a ‘Repatriation’ Amnesty: Both Proposals Would Remove Taxes on Corporations’ Offshore Profits,” October 19, 2011. http://www.ctj.org/pdf/corporateinternationalfactsheet.pdf]

The tax system already encourages corporations to engage in these abuses because it allows them to “defer” (delay) paying U.S. corporate income taxes on any profits that are generated offshore or made to appear that they were generated offshore.

If allowing corporations to defer their U.S. taxes on offshore profits encourages these abuses, then exempting those offshore profits from U.S. taxes entirely would logically increase this incentive.

The only way to prevent these abuses is for Congress to enact a tax reform that repeals “deferral.” This would mean that U.S. corporations would not pay lower taxes on profits that they generate (or appear to generate) in countries with lower corporate income taxes than the U.S. And, just as in the current system, U.S. corporations would be allowed a credit for taxes paid to foreign governments, to prevent double-taxation.

[For more, see Citizens for Tax Justice, “Congress Should End ‘Deferral’ Rather than Adopt a ‘Territorial’ Tax System,” March 23, 2011. http://www.ctj.org/pdf/internationalcorptax2011.pdf]

So how about bothering someone else elsewhere?

An open letter to @messenger aka ampedstatushousenegroes. In truth, can’t I get an ”amen” from at least one of the throwaway name committee members? Or, is this all the work of just one little girl? See The Matrix (the movie), or V For Vendetta (the movie), or The Life and Times of Joseph K by Franz Kafka. In persecuting serial stalkers, Dorothy and the Yellow Brick Road also comes to mind.

I don’t have a lot of time, precious time; me mum just called me in for dinner, and we’re getting ready to see Barack on C-SPAN, so let me quickly say you are as much a pest as rookspurt schmucko ever was, and you really are more disgustingly mean spirited towards Barack, and ball busting, more than all of the predatory rookspurt-type stalkers combined. You’ve had your 15 minutes of Sharon Tate or Who Killed Bobby Kennedy fame on the Internet, so how about moving on? Bother someone else elsewhere.

        [SNIP]

Oops! Too late. C-SPAN broadcast the Barack and Kimmel Show (live), and then immediately afterwards, a replay, both of which I watched, plus the re-rerun at 3 ayem.

Jimmy Kimmel told a Rush Limbaugh joke comparing Limbaugh and Bill Maher that seems apropos for this stalking complaint that reminded me of Mr. Brooks (the movie) where Kevin Kostner portraying an addict to killing asks his serial killer wannabe protégé would you have any compunctions about killing a woman (who cut them off in traffic), and the supporting actor answers, ”No. No, an asshole’s an asshole.”

        [SNIP]

Nonetheless, some will think me a bully for picking on a girl, but you’ve more than asked for it. I mean, is the elected President Obama really just too powerful for you? and instead of venting your fears and frustrations here, how about you just woman-up and send your refrains of chickenshittedness and bullshit directly to Barack at potus@whitehouse.gov directly, and let the rest of us have at some of whatever few joyous moments there are left anymore, and a little peace for a change? Sincerely.

Daily Kos Elections Live Digest: Cynthia McKinney

Interesting new wrinkle for political season (sample) from DailyKos; click on time stamp for access to page upon which the blurb appears, and click on ”GA-04” for a related ajc.com news article.

10:38 AM PT: ☛ GA-04 (or WATN): Wow, look who’s back! Rep. Cynthia McKinney, loose-cannonish enough to get primaried out on two separate occasions by two separate Dems, is going to make another try at getting back her old seat in the Atlanta suburbs. Interestingly, though, she’s sticking with her Green Party moniker (she was the Green presidential nominee in 2008), rather than taking on Rep. Hank Johnson in the Dem primary, where one would expect her to have a better chance. If you’re suddenly having visions of a Republican exploiting the Dem/Green split to ride to unexpected victory, well, don’t; it’s a 73% Obama district. Not only would the Republican be hard-pressed to finish anything but third, but also don’t forget that Georgia uses general election runoffs if nobody clears 50%, so a GOPer would badly lose a head-to-head against either Johnson or McKinney. First, though, she has until Aug. 4 to round up 18,860 signatures to get on the ballot.

    Stop corporate-funded voter suppression

For years, the right wing has been trying to stop Black people, other people of color, young people, and the elderly from voting — and now some of America’s biggest companies are helping them do it. These companies have helped pass discriminatory voter ID legislation by funding a right wing policy group called the American Legislative Exchange Council(ALEC).

ALEC’s voter ID laws are undemocratic, unjust and part of a longstanding right wing agenda to weaken the Black vote. Major companies that rely on business from Black folks shouldn’t be involved in suppressing our vote. Please join us in demanding that these companies stop funding ALEC.

some rough draft terrorism notes: ”the gap between creditor and debtor” and ”less volatile but more lethal” as inspired by yesterday’s News Dissector, the On the deck of another Titanic edition.

The logic of GOP ”terrorism” says destroy the village, throw the baby out, or defeat Obama, no matter the cost to the country.

The Mitch McConnell mindset says destroy the US economy and pour gasoline on the unemployment fire if Obama can be blamed and then defeated in November by a Romney-type with a secret plan for getting the unemployed working again, and economic recovery. Sound familiar? Nixon had a pre-election ”secret plan” to end the Vietnam war. He didn’t, and he didn’t end the war as per any such plan either. Romney’s plan is to serve the 1%. Romney’s ”secret plan” promises (which require cooperation of the 1%) won’t be kept. The 1% fear Obama’s redistribution of the wealth if they don’t lighten up on the 99%, but just as sure as Hillary would get the Democratic nomination, they are confident this time in ”gambling” against Obama after their already having stacked the deck conspiratorially with the Supreme Court’s Citizen United and the Diebolds of this world.

The GOP mantra as stated by Senate minority leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY): ”The single most important thing we want to achieve is for President Obama to be a one-term president.” What McConnell didn’t say but which is true, is that even if the means and methods for taking Obama down would take the country down too, even that would be a much more desirable outcome for the well insulated 1% than allowing Obama a second term, where with his foot now firmly planted inside the White House of FDR and LBJ too, and with a mandate for Obama to deliver (through ordinary legislation and simple regulations that would be GOP obstructionist-proof) the 2008 promises of Saul Alinsky and Howard Zinn-like fairness to the 99%, at the literal ”redistribution of the wealth” expense of the 1%.

Outside the Pentagon’s K Street lobbyist-soldiers, raging on even now (already) is the 2012 election battle, funded on the Wall Street side by the 1%’s bankers whose funding is extracted from the everyday financial of the 99%. In other words, no different than the IRS is a taxing agency for We the People’s United States government, the Wall Street ”too big to fail” banks essentially tax the 99% in behalf of the 1%, and who then fund Mitch McConnell’s style of obstruction and the Republican’s campaign to defeat Obama in November.

    Good one, Carl! Thanks!

I especially liked your quite original #AssassinationWatch thoughts on the subject:

”[It] is well-known in the Secret Service community that nobody wanted to do presidential detail for Obama because they had the best chance of being shot or blown up.”

So shoot, Carl… Where do we go from here?

    FULL TEXT:

GIVE THE SECRET SERVICE AGENTS A BREAK!

    April 17, 2012 TAX DAY

Today being Tax Day, we have two different groups of government jackasses to vilify. First, the GSA scammed the taxpayers by throwing a lavish and inexcusable party in Las Vegas to the tune of about $850, 000.00.

Second, we have a bunch of Secret Service agents bringing legal prostitutes back to their rooms., , Both groups deserve a lot of scrutiny, but if there ever was a good use of Caning in the United States, the GSA dummies who video’d themselves mocking the rest of us ought to be strapped to a table on CNN and FOX and be given 20 hard lashes each, followed by being forever prohibited from holding any public service job for life and be stripped of any benefits or retirement they may have accrued.

The second group consisting of 11 Secret Service Agents and 10 military service members ought to be given more slack. After all, it is well-known in the Secret Service community that nobody wanted to do presidential detail for Obama because they had the best chance of being shot or blown up. Further, I can state with confidence that hookers can provide some of the best intel available in a place like Colombia, so maybe they were just doing their job.

In point of fact, we’re looking at the wrong people. Congress and this president have done more to destroy the United States’ economy than any devout enemy of the United States could ever inflict in any terror attack, even if they managed to nuke New York City. What Congress and this president have done to this nation is an existential threat to the United States, the American Dream and everything the Founding Fathers fought and died for. I’m certain they are doing gymnastics in their graves, because they suffered and died in vain. The United States is finished economically under the weight of a $16 trillion dollar debt that is growing with interest every day and can never be repaid no matter how much we are taxed, and particularly if the next president is unwilling to shut down unconstitutional government agencies far enough to begin lowering the overall cost of running it.

Mitt Romney is already pulling back: He stated he would make the Department of Education much smaller. If Romney was so intent on enforcing the Constitution, he would do his duty and abolish the DOE entirely — but he’s already hedging on that. What else will we find Romney willing to fudge on after he’s elected? The only candidate willing to do what is necessary to return the U.S. to financial well-being is Ron Paul, and we’ve already seen how our fellow Republicans are voting in the primaries, so I think I can state with complete accuracy that a President Romney will be the last President of the United States.

National Journal – Rep. Barney Frank, D-Mass., said he advised President Obama against taking up health care reform following a special election in 2010 that changed Democrats’ fortunes in the Senate, saying that he should have instead turned his focus to financial reform.
“Obama made the same mistake Clinton made,” Frank said in a wide-ranging interview with New York magazine. “When you try to extend health care to people who don’t have it, people who have it and are on the whole satisfied with it get nervous.”
The outgoing representative from Massachusetts added that after Republican Scott Brown won former Sen. Edward M. Kennedy’s seat, breaking Democrats’ filibuster-proof majority, Obama should have backed down: “I think we paid a terrible price for health care. I would not have pushed it as hard. In a show of frustration about Wall Street pay, Citigroup’s shareholders on Tuesday voiced their disapproval of the bank’s plan to award $15 million in compensation to its chief executive, Vikram S. Pandit.
At the bank’s annual meeting Tuesday in Dallas, a majority of investors voted against a proposal on executive compensation, which included approving Mr. Pandit’s pay package.
The move by Citi’s shareholders, which is not binding, is the first time that investors at one of the nation’s largest banks have voted against a board’s compensation plan.

JERUSALEM (AP) The Israel Cabinet has boosted its budget for assisting Holocaust survivors.
Tuesday’s move comes a day before the country marks its annual Holocaust Memorial Day for the 6 million Jews murdered by the Nazis in World War II.
Less than 200,000 aging survivors remain in Israel. Many live in poverty and previous governments have been criticized for not doing enough to allow them to live out their lives in dignity.
The government says the basket of services for Holocaust survivors will rise to $60 million for 2012, a 13 percent increase. An additional $13 million will directed toward increasing monthly stipends of particularly needy survivors. Stipends currently range between $530 and $1,900 each month.
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said it was “urgent” to help survivors.

Obama signs unconstitutional and therefore illegal executive order to steal private property

    Thanks to @marriihttp://bit.ly/GGeDwv

Who are these Wall Street and K Street cheerleader apologist minions of the 1% that occupy or otherwise sabotage our legitimate #Occupy-related Internet turf with their Goebbels-like propaganda, misinformation and disinformation? Who are the ”populist” Kincaids of this world, and what is their Obama-bashing point no matter what Barack says about anything from Obamacare to Keystone? Remember Barack Hussein Obama as a one term president? Yes, that was Mitch McConnell, and now the mantra of the GOP: “The single most important thing we want to achieve is for President Obama to be a one-term president.”

”This executive order [the National Defense Resources Preparedness Act] is an illegal attempt by Barack Obama to unlawfully steal any and all private property of the United States people.”

well, yeah. According to the Supreme Court of the United States, and as recently explained by candidate Willard, “Corporations are people, my friend.” [VIDEO - WaPo]

So the people’s property is fair game. I seriously doubt if Barack intends to nationalize or otherwise ”steal” private property from the 99% – particularly since we own so little of it. But even as we speak, the 1% should be losing sleep over how much of their ”private property” Barack is likely to confiscate from them.

HEADLINE THIS: Obama signs unconstitutional and therefore illegal executive order to steal private property.

Article I of the Constitution – ”all legislative powers herein granted shall be vested in a Congress of the United States” – not the president.

On March 16, 2012 Obama assumed once again to have the authority to enact legislature. Obama claims to have the Constitutional authority to unilaterally passed into law the “National Defense Resources Preparedness Act”. This executive order is “completely without merit.” Obama has no such authority under the supreme law of the United States – the Constitution of the United States. Any law that contradicts the Constitution is invalid and therefore illegal and shall not be enforced by any agency of the United States government.

Article I of the Constitution states “all legislative powers herein granted shall be vested in a Congress of the United States, which shall consist of a Senate and a House of Representatives.” The House and Senate are equal partners in the legislative process—legislation cannot be enacted without the consent of both chambers.

Article 1 clearly grants legislative authority to the elected representative of the United States people – the Congress. The following opening statement by Barack Obama in regards to the executive order “NATIONAL DEFENSE RESOURCES PREPAREDNESS” is deemed illegal by the Constitution of the United States.

“By the authority vested in me as President by the Constitution and the laws of the United States of America, including the Defense Production Act of 1950, as amended (50 U.S.C. App. 2061 et seq.), and section 301 of title 3, United States Code, and as Commander in Chief of the Armed Forces of the United States, it is hereby ordered as follows:”

“By the authority vested in me as President by the Constitution” is clearly a false statement of facts – a fraudulent statement. Obama has no such authority invested in him by the Constitution of the United States.

So, this executive order is an illegal attempt by Barack Obama to unlawfully steal any and all private property of the United States people?

Rinse and repeat: “Corporations are people, my friend.” [VIDEO - WaPo]

”The American way of life of private property ownership, single-family homes, private car ownership and individual travel choices, and privately owned farms are destructive to the environment” or ”social justice described as the right and opportunity of all people to benefit equally from the resources afforded us by society and the environment which would be accomplished by [Socialist-Communist] redistribution of wealth.”

Is there something sinister to be found in President Obama’s Executive Order on National Defense Resources Preparedness, and the United Nations Agenda 21 treaty document? The short answer is, ”No!” But that won’t stop the UFO freaks and agent provocateurs hired by Wall Street and K Street from creeping into the blogs and generally sabotaging the media with wholly fake ”news” stories, and creating publicity stunts that distract us from Ending the System of Political Bribery, and Breaking Up the “Too Big To Fail” Banks and the Federal Reserve.

The ”National Defense Resources Preparedness” and ”United Nations Agenda 21” hoax is an absolutely classic. Never mind the Tennessee state legislature got suckered into promoting the ideas and ideals of the 1% (literally) starving out the 99% and putting us in FEMA camps.

    Thoughts on New Executive Order

    http://bit.ly/wUDooa – Thanks @Alison

While I don’t expect to make my points, let me state them: 1) The reason not to take Milk of Magnesia while using farm equipment is to prevent shitting on the tractor seat; 2) We should take every opportunity to forewarn anyone who needs to know, a redistribution of the national wealth is at hand. The riches stolen by the 1% will be reimbursed to the 99% in the form of having our food, drugs and medical care, housing and educational needs met, and 3) Barack is no slouch when it comes to brains. His academic achievement speaks for itself. But having said that, David Axelrod is the brains behind the brain. Executive Orders don’t get arbitrarily or hastily floated as a press release from the White House, except as pure political rip-raw. It wasn’t floated to scare people.

A little bird told me, that deep in an undisclosed location at the Chicago reelection team’s headquarters is a Department of Diebold. Separate from the Treasury’s Secret Service, some variation of the Diebold watchers watch remnants of the Cheney-Bush White House (neocon) and the Iran-Contra era GHWB-CIA. The watchers are joined at the hip with prayer groups coast to coast that keep the safety and well being of Barack and his family, and this country, in their thoughts. Call it hokus-pokus or whatever you want that brings about a change; prayer with some candles and a sprinkling of fresh or powdered garlic (to keep [the psychic] vampires away) works!

So the post-911 and the continuing war in Afghanistan question remains. Who runs Homeland Security and Counterterrorism, and FEMA? Is FEMA prepared to dismantle private military companies such as Xe and the Blackwater-types, and round up rogue militia members, marauders and mercenary thugs hired by the 1%? This is why we’re still watching #Egypt.

In any case, I see Barack’s Executive Order for ”preparedness” as a blueprint for nationalizing or confiscating the privately-owned assets that rightly belong in the hands and under the control of We he People – starting but not ending with food, for example:

PART II – PRIORITIES AND ALLOCATIONS

Sec. 201. Priorities and Allocations Authorities. (a) The authority of the President conferred by section 101 of the Act, 50 U.S.C. App. 2071, to require acceptance and priority performance of contracts or orders (other than contracts of employment) to promote the national defense over performance of any other contracts or orders, and to allocate materials, services, and facilities as deemed necessary or appropriate to promote the national defense, is delegated to the following agency heads:

    (1) the Secretary of Agriculture with respect to food resources, food resource facilities, livestock resources, veterinary resources, plant health resources, and the domestic distribution of farm equipment and commercial fertilizer…

Also see the Secretary of Energy regarding all forms of energy; the Secretary of Health and Human Services regarding health resources; the Secretary of Transportation regarding all forms of civil transportation, and the Secretary of Commerce in cooperation with the Secretary of Defense on water resources, and all other matters regarding materials, services, and facilities, including construction materials.

Never mind also that as written in this Executive Order, Barack has reserved the ultimate power to the president…

    (d) If agreement cannot be reached between two such Secretaries, then the issue shall be referred to the President through the Assistant to the President and National Security Advisor and the Assistant to the President for Homeland Security and Counterterrorism.

    (e) The Secretary of each resource department, when necessary, shall make the finding required under section 101(b) of the Act, 50 U.S.C. App. 2071(b). This finding shall be submitted for the President’s approval through the Assistant to the President and National Security Advisor and the Assistant to the President for Homeland Security and Counterterrorism. Upon such approval, the Secretary of the resource department that made the finding may use the authority of section 101(a) of the Act, 50 U.S.C. App. 2071(a), to control the general distribution of any material (including applicable services) in the civilian market.

    [SNIP]

This [Executive Order] shall be implemented consistent with applicable law and subject to the availability of appropriations.

So we don’t know if the Department of Homeland Security and Counterterrorism, and FEMA is run by the Obama administration yet or still the leftovers from the Cheney-Bush White House (neocon) and the GHWB-CIA, but with the advent of this all new and improved Executive Order, and from this glass half empty or half full distance, it looks more like the ”leftovers” are being phased out in favor of an administrative control that has more of a 99% conscience and consciousness than the 1% ever had. I mean, the brains behind the brain want the 99% to believe we can safely get behind Barack’s reelection; that with the National Defense Resources Preparedness document in place as an Executive Order, none should have reason to fear We the People’s government.

Only two household-word ”famous people” and four other e-penpals I know personally and from the Internet agree with me that Barack knows what he is doing; that what he is doing that requires a second term as President will ultimately benefit us all, even though our Progressive, Liberal, Socialist, Communist, and ordinary Democratic Party friends and some of my favorite blog writers and newspaper columnists don’t think so. The paranoid right wing Republican, ”conservative” and GOP-funded Tea Party goers actually have a better handle on what Barack is up to than the left does, and if ”crack (or even smack) is whack,” as Whitney said, then the 1%’s worst nightmare is just a Rolling Stones shot away…

For justice and peace, democracy and socialism work together perfectly in a utopian world where with any luck, the RWNJs will have all been ”raptured” to their place in heaven, leaving the rest of us behind to live our lives and let live…

Uhh, your post is confusing Adoration sir.. it reads like a Fox news article -you say that the ”Executive Order — National Defense Resources Preparedness” is real, which I agree on, that it comes from and empowers the office of the Presidency, also seems obvious..
Then you infer that it’s a hoax.. and for dessert suggest that complete control of a country and it’s resources by one man is not a military dictatorship, it’s a victory for the common man- the 99%.. what is in your tea today sir?

sorry. sometimes my sense of humorlessness or low fun quotient gets in the way of what really isn’t funny. I recently updated my disclaimer. hope that helps.

no hoax about National Defense Resources Preparedness. the hoax is the Tennessee legislators rolling United Nations Agenda 21 into it

also, for clarification, if, as, when the 99% do indeed say who our ”leaders” are, I will look forward to a reinstatement of Magna Carta; the dictator dictates but we dictate to him (or her) what to say. What say you?

BTW, I have been reading your things, but I don’t comment because I mostly agree. Thanks

Thanks for the clarification Adoration, these are very worrying times -as we watch the storm clouds gather it’s easy to be too serious -we should be able to share a laugh. As you were :)

haven’t heard ”as you were” in years. my dad was a Democrat his whole life, until 1952, when he voted for Eisenhower. I remember a neighbor asking how could he vote Republican? during the war, my dad was army infantry under Ike. He could have just as easily voted for Bob Hope in subsequent years. He liked Jerry Brown over Bill Clinton in the 1992 Democratic presidential primary. he didn’t live long enough to see Clinton take the White House from George H.W. Bush. Take a look at that 1992 primary. Is there a 2012 echo in here? Thanks for the memory jog.

RT محمد داود العاشر@if you cock your lip just right you can see that the soldier who shot up all those people in Afghanistan is a peacemaker. I mean, who else besides Joe Biden has done more to bring about US troop reduction and end the war than US Army Staff Sergeant Robert Bales? Well meaning peaceniks can be forgiven even if we don’t agree that the end justifies the means. ABC News is carrying it as cutting the sergeant some slack.
