“Perhaps the sentiments contained in the following pages, are not yet sufficiently fashionable to procure them general favour; a long habit of not thinking a thing wrong, gives it a superficial appearance of being right, and raises at first a formidable outcry in defense of custom. But the tumult soon subsides. Time makes more converts than reason.” – Thomas Paine, Common Sense

Common Sense 2.0: How to Save America – First StepsTo Those Paying Attention,

You Know The Hour Is Late…

After writing dozens of reports revealing corrupt activity at the highest levels of power and detailing the breakdown of our society, I can’t bring myself to writing yet another one. How much more evidence do we really need?

To sum it up: we are witnessing the complete corruption and downfall of America.

As our descent accelerates, we need to urgently focus on reaching common ground on the root causes of our crisis. Anyone who has spent significant time researching how our system of power functions will come to three core common sense conclusions. These systemic issues must be solved before we can move forward in addressing the many problems that we are now confronted with. If we are going to get ourselves out of this crisis, we need to launch an all-out attack on these three fronts:

1) End the system of political bribery: campaign finance, lobbying and the revolving door.

The Supreme Court campaign finance ruling in favor of unlimited spending has now completely rigged our electoral system against us. As long as it costs millions of dollars to have any chance of being elected, politicians and judges will continue to act on behalf of the corporations and the richest members of society who have the most money to give to their election campaigns.

In addition to the campaign finance system, political lobbying has also become a multi-billion dollar industry that allows those with the most money to directly influence the legislative/lawmaking process. Another core element in this system of political bribery is the revolving door between Washington and the largest corporations. This revolving door gives politicians enormous economic incentive to favor corporations that they have either worked for prior to being elected and/or will work for upon leaving office.

2) Break up the banks and hold them accountable: The Federal Reserve banking system and their primary dealers (i.e. Goldman Sachs, JP Morgan, Citigroup, Bank of America, Morgan Stanley and Wells Fargo).

The Federal Reserve banking system operates in secrecy and works for the benefit of the biggest financial institutions at the expense of 99.9 percent of the population, as we have now blatantly witnessed firsthand. As a direct result of the deliberate actions of the Federal Reserve and the six largest banks that dominate our economic system, we now have the most severe inequality of wealth in American history.

After causing our economic crisis and taking trillions of dollars in taxpayer money and subsidies, these institutions are now making all-time record-breaking profits and handing out all-time record-breaking bonuses. Meanwhile, we have an all-time record-breaking number of Americans living in poverty and on food stamps. If we want to have economic security and prosperity, we need to have a decentralized and transparent financial system.

In the process of breaking up the banks, top executives at companies that engaged in fraudulent activity need to be held accountable and prosecuted under RICO laws.

3) Open up the mainstream media and protect Internet freedom.

Television is still the most dominant force controlling the thoughts and opinions of the masses, and now only a handful of the most powerful interconnected corporations control everything we see on TV. If we are to have an enlightened and engage citizenry, we must open up broadcast television to independent voices.

The Internet has provided us with a medium of communication where citizens can interact on a mass scale without being censored by powerful interests. However, the free flow of information on the net is quickly being co-opted by corporate elite interests as well. We must defend Internet freedom.

There are many other problems that obviously need to be addressed, but these three core systemic issues must be addressed first. No matter what issue is of most concern to you – the economy, tax system, wars, environment, healthcare, national debt, etc. – these three core systemic problems have to be solved first. Otherwise, any success will be short-lived, as those with the most money will overwhelm the political process and economic system, and launch an all-pervasive propaganda campaign via the mainstream media to derail any advance achieved.

I do not intend to discredit any movement that seeks other goals, there are many other vital causes, but after careful consideration, we must conclude that any movement for change that does not first address these three core systemic issues is ultimately futile. In a rigged government, economy and media system, those who already have the power have all the leverage they need to overturn or block any changes that they don’t want. Until these systemic problems are fixed, we will find our efforts continually undermined.

Even at this late hour, there is still no organized resistance to the Economic Elite’s shortsighted and pathological accumulation of wealth and power. We are confronted with a crisis of unprecedented scale. Most of our systems of defense have been toppled. Our future has gone up in flames.

“These are the times that try men’s souls. The summer soldier and the sunshine patriot will, in this crisis, shrink from the service of their country…” – Thomas Paine, Common Sense

Unless we urgently rise up, we will all face devastating consequences. This is not grandiose hyperbole; this is one person who knows how the game is played pleading to other aware people. We must organize on these three core common ground issues NOW.

If we do not organize and fight, we will live an increasingly difficult life of struggle, servitude and debt slavery – where the only freedom we will have is in a mass media-induced delusion.

– Are you currently fighting on one of these three fronts? Are you interested in taking action? If so, send me an email: David[@]AmpedStatus.com

I’ve been extolling the need for these changes for years. Sigh.

  2. Absolutely *NOTHING* will fix our system without getting to the root: political corruption. Politicians sharing in the booty by taking campaign bribes, and then rolling over to the industry that wants in the taxpayer’s pockets. The recent “crisis commission” blamed everyone except the nation’s board of directors — our CONGRESS — even when the politicians are 100% to blame.

The key problem is the way we finance elections. There are only two kinds of money: public and private. Private money got us here and nothing will change until we get these legal bribes out of politics. But a fix is vigorously opposed by the political elite that benefit from the existing corruption.

Nothing else matters, regardless of your issue. Nothing is going to change until we have public funding of campaigns. Politicians spend taxpayer dollars because they ARE PAID to spend taxpayer dollars, and robbing the SSI fund and Medicare (as just two examples) gives them the cash needed to attract campaign dollars.

Our problem is NOT government, and it is not R’s or D’s. It *IS* that government is owned by CEOs and corporate interests that want in the taxpayer’s pockets. The 2010 elections were funded by just 1% of Americans, when they should be financed by 100% of taxpayers. And at $5 per taxpayer it would be a bargain. Even at 100 times that.

CEOs want short-term profits to increase their already massive salaries, and are willing to share those profits with the politicians that made it all happen. Thus NAFTA and other laws are passed that enable outsourcing to countries with wage scales one-tenth ours. Or are repealed (like Glass-Seagall) to enable the Fat Cat bankers to rip off the public. And all while deregulation crashes our country, China and India flourish.

In addition to public funding of campaigns, politicians must also (a) be put on a pay-for-performance basis, where if deficits or pork barrel and special interest spending go up, their pay goes down, and (b) they must put their own wealth in a blind trust that blocks political insider trading (which today is rampant). They must also get their health care from Medicare and their retirement from Social Security, and receive it only when they reach 67 or 69 or whatever age the rest of us qualify.

As a former CEO my company would not have survived if I had an employee or board of directors who took money on the side and gave away company assets in return. Our country can’t survive this corruption either.

So the voters change nothing. We elect a new group of politicians and the Fat Cats simply re-direct their bribes as we continue down our spiral. But the problem is that all of these changes must be made by the foxes themselves (congress).

The public’s choices are simple: a 100% turnover of politicians until the above fixes are made, or a national revolution is inevitable. And all because our politicians refuse to stop the bribery they benefit from, and the public refused to stop it.

If politicians are going to be beholden to their funders, those funders should be the taxpayers. We MUST demand that our senators and representative pass the bill at: http://fairelectionsnow.org/about-bill

If we don’t all personally face the reality of how our money system works, how Capitalism works, how our propaganda system works on each of us and and how consumerism fits into the total picture, no one will actually have the balls to take part in a revolution and all the encouragement in the world won’t make it happen. I suspect that unconsciously we all realize that we do not have the personal power at this time to even face how our own lives need to change in order to be prepared for a new paradigm.
First we must develop our personal independence. Most of us cannot imagine life without all the gasoline we want, a big house, several cars, the latest fashions, the newest electronic gadget, a trip to a well stocked grocery everyday or even a quick stop for fast food meals. Not to mention, most of us have no idea how to feed ourselves by gardening and cooking, how to keep ourselves healthy, how to learn ourselves or educate our children, how to make money without a job or how to actually make with our own two hands, many of the objects we normally buy at Wally World. And of course we need to be entertained or we might get bored or have to spend time with our families. How many of us can make our own music? How many can actually have a discussion or solve a problem with others?
The “powers-that-be” have convinced us that we can only get the things we BELIEVE we need FROM THEM! Until we imagine another way of living where we rely on each other, our neighbors, our community, the people of our town, city or local environment to meet our REAL needs, how could we possibly imagine existing without our favorite CORPORATE PROVIDER?
I believe we should empower ourselves quickly. Get out of debt. Move your money to a small local bank. Get a bike. Meet your neighbors. Join local groups of community members who share your interests in living on less, recycling, biking, cooking, gardening, bees, inventing, building, creating, music making. Get a smaller house or an apartment, can some vegies, store water, trade and barter, buy locally, shop at a farmer’s market, learn new skills, teach skills you know to others, use your car less, make some clothing or shop at a thrift store. Get involved in local politics where an individual can actually can have an effect. Maybe you can get your state to create its own bank.
Remember, everything we can avoid buying from the “powers-that-be” takes a tiny bit of sustenance from them. Everything we learn to do for ourselves, empowers “we the people.” And, it is fun and rewarding as well. Kind of a REALITY survival game. Hopefully we can stop taking part in their money system and create a better one not based on debt. A parallel system.
Then, when the time comes we will be ready and confident enough to leave the Plutocrats behind. We can just stop playing with them “They” can’t stop us if we stay local and quietly go unnoticed until we are ready. We do all the work in this country anyway. We are the ones who make everything happen so we should be just fine. “They certainly don’t “do” anything real.

David DeGraw refuses to hear and consider the enormous fundamental misconception he is missing so he is failing to even recognize the ROOT cause of 99% of unnecessary human and planet suffering and he is therefore giving bad advice asking people to devote time and energies to a plan that will ultimately change nothing even if it did succeed. I don’t have time to waste with this distractive, misleading, pointless crap. Neither does humanity.

These comments always sadly reveal how far off the mark ampedstatus readers still are.

    David,
With all due respect — and that’s quite a lot — you are panicking. While there’s plenty to panic about, we cannot afford the short-sightedness panic brings.

We cannot reform our political system. It works perfectly, doing exactly what it’s always done and always been intended to do. “Replace” is a far better verb.

We cannot break up the banks and hold them accountable. With what military and judiciary? “End is a superior verb.” Capitalism and the debt-based economy have benefited the people they benefit just about as much as it’s possible to benefit them. WE don’t need banking. THEY do. They’ve just told us we do and we’ve obediently bought the lie.

I’m not sure the internet will live too much longer, anyway. It’s pesky to operate without electricity.

Take a deep breath and step out of the box.

    We can’t fix the box.

And, why would we want to?? The better world is outside the box and outside the control of political, banking, corporate elites. How can they continue to party if we don’t continue to pay for it or serve it or clean up after it? The new movie is “A Day Without an American” and it’s coming soon to wherever you want to show up for it.

  8. Gregg said:

I would have liked to hear Xavier’s counter points. All you did was say David was wrong. Then tell us what is right.

Caren, you say a Day without America is coming, but what will that be? Freedom for all, Slavery to the wealthy, Constant chaos among everyone fighting for themselves??? Elaborate please. America needs government, we need guidelines to keep peace and order. We need to rid ourselves of corruption. How are you proposing that will happen?

    Hi David and friends—

I agree 100% with what David says. He is not being alarmist; rather he is reasonable. I too have been researching the situation; in my case 3 hours a day for 3 years and have come up with the same conclusions. It is possible to see the darkness and not be freaked out. The stance is akin to approaching any problem. See the causes and solutions.

Point is if we don’t change the things David has outlined above, things will get worse for us ALL. It’s very well and good to take oneself out of the system, but this is not just about each of us; it’s about the collective us. How can we collectively move away from the corporate borg?

In my case I’m part of a group in Washington state working on starting a state banking system like they have in North Dakota. U.S. Uncut is good too. Rising up in whatever way we can.

    You have friends David.

i know this doesn’t help, but i think the system actually creates power hungry monsters. most of us don’t care if we own the world…but a few do and those few can be dangerous. absolute power really does corrupt absolutely.

    David,

I wish to address Issue Number 2: Break Up the Banks.

How, EXACTLY, do you plan to break them up? What structure will be in place if you succeed in breaking them up?

Now, banks hold the power to create the nation’s money out of nothing. This is the secret to their great power. You must concentrate on this power and remove it from the banks.

Last year, Congressmen Dennis Kucinich of Ohio introduced a bill (HR 6550) that would remove the power to create money from the banks. Please read that bill and help us REALLY put the banks under democratic control. You will find more information at http://www.monetary.org.

Please accept my personal invitation to attend our annual conference in Chicago this September 29 – October 2, 2011.

Now, one final question: What institution will create the nation’s money after your reforms are enacted?

    Sincerely,

    Tommy Gregory

  13. What is needed is to call for a Congress and the creation of a parallel governing body like in the tradition of the IWW or the organization table of the 26 Div.of the Republican Spanish Army. Address our grievances I and make the changes needed to return to self government. It ought to done quickly as there are people waiting to pass us the Koolaid.

This is a fantastic article, and I have always maintained that none of our problems can be solved until we get the corporations out of their almost complete control of mass media. We will not end political bribery (lobbying) or the corruption of the banking industry until we have a medium which can get the word out to the average person. Pacifica Radio is wonderful, and the modest movement to the left of MSNBC is a step in the right direction. But until we can remove the hate mongers of Fox and Clear Channel Radio, we will not get the message to the people of the causes of our major problems. Everyone should become a member of Freepress.org., and F.A.I.R. as a starter.

Excellent goals but how on earth are they to be accomplished when all three of these noble concepts run so counter to the interests of the Ruling Class? The game is completely rigged. Until the People organize on such a massive scale to confront these corrosive elements in our society and strike fear in their rotten souls nothing can or will be accomplished. That is the depressing fact and with the Tea Party, Koch Brothers and the like dividing the People as it now stands nothing it seems can ever bring them together. Our most important weapons in this war, and a war it is are our potential numbers and Truth but how to deliver it? That is the quandary. If only we had another Martin Luther King to light the spark!

REALITIES THAT WILL AND CAN WORK RIGHT NOW TO ADDRESS AND ACTUALLY “CHANGE” THE ABOVE “PROBLEMS”:

    1) “THE REVOLVING DOOR”.

THIS CAN BE EASILY HALTED RIGHT NOW.

    SIMPLY “RE-DEFINE BRIBERY”.

    RE-DEFINE BRIBERY “LAWS” TO INCLUDE:

    “POST FACTUM BRIBERY”

THIS IS THE NUMBER 1 CONCEPT BEING IGNORED..PROPAGANDIZED INTO NON-EXISTENCE..INTENTIONALLY HIDDEN FROM THE PUBLIC..AND BASICALLY…BEING CONCEALED AND HIDDEN ON A DAILY BASIS BY GOV-CORP.

THE REVOLVING DOOR “WORKS” BECAUSE IT IS IN FACT A SYSTEM OF ‘POST FACTUM BRIBERY”.

    OR “BRIBERY AFTER THE FACT”.

AT THIS POINT IN AMERICA..WE..”WE”..DO NOT CALL IT “BRIBERY” IF A PAY-OFF COMES IN THE FORM OF “POST” GOVERNMENT/CORPORATE EMPLOYMENT AS A DIRECT REWARD FOR ‘SERVICES RENDERED’.

THIS IS THE ENTIRETY OF THE “SYSTEM’ THAT HAS…SADLY UNDER OBAMA…ALLOWED FOR THE NOW TOTAL..YES..TOTAL…CORRUPTION OF THE SEC AND “FINANCIAL INVESTIGATIONS” ARM(S) OF THE FEDERAL CORPORATE GOVERNMENT.

THIS IS THE SYSTEM THAT HAS NOW BEGUN TO IN FACT “MAKE DEALS” WITH “PRIVATE SECTOR” FINANCIAL SERVICES BUSINESSES “IN LIEU OF JUSTICE”.

    THIS NEW “POLICY”..IS CALLED:

    “DEFERRED PROSECUTION”.

    IT “WORKS” AMAZINGLY SIMPLY:

“OFFER JOBS TO SEC/JUSTICE DEPARTMENT LAWYERS/PERSONNEL IN FINANCIAL INSTITUTIONS/SERVICES ‘AFTER’ THEY ‘LEAVE’ GOVERNMENT ‘SERVICE’.”

THIS SIMPLE FORM OF BRIBERY IN THE FORM OF “EMPLOYMENT” AND PROMISES OF 6+(+++) FIGURE INCOMES IN THE “PRIVATE SECTOR” HAS LITERALLY…COMPLETELY HALTED..COMPLETELY ERODED EVEN THE “IDEA” THAT JUSTICE OR EVEN AT THIS POINT..”INVESTIGATIONS”..WILL CONTINUE AT ALL.

    THIS….IS…BRIBERY!

    PERIOD!

BUT IT IS SIMPLY “NOT YET CALLED BRIBERY” IN OUR..”SYSTEM”.

AND THIS “EMPLOYMENT BRIBERY”..IS BUT ONE FORM OF “POST FACTUM BRIBERY” BEING EMPLOYED BY THOSE WITH MONEY AND CONSOLIDATED POWER.

THE MAIN ‘ARGUMENT” AGAINST GOING AFTER POST FACTUM BRIBERY IN THE FORM OF ‘EMPLOYMENT” COMES FROM THE VERY PEOPLE BENEFITING FROM IT. IT IS AN INSANELY SIMPLISTIC ARGUMENT AND IS OF COURSE..PATENTLY FALSE:

“BUT WE HAVE A RIGHT TO WORK FOR WHOMEVER WE WANT..GALL”.

AND TO THAT..I HAVE NOT ONLY AN ‘ANSWER’..NOT ONLY A ‘REBUTTAL’..BUT IN FACT…THE “SLOGAN” WE AS THE LAST REAL AMERICANS…CAN AND SHOULD UTILIZE EN MASSE:

    “OH..WELL..SORRY..BUT THEY DON’T CALL IT ‘GOVERNMENT………SERVICE’………..FOR NOTHIN!”

THAT IS THE FINAL REALITY BEING IGNORED BY THESE UTTERLY CORRUPT AGENCIES AND NOW ALMOST EVERY “EMPLOYEE” OF THE FEDERAL CORPORATE GOVERNMENT…THE REALITY THAT:

“NO ONE….LITERALLY..NO…ONE…IS FORCING YOU…TO WORK ‘FOR THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT’. THAT IS BY CHOICE!”

THAT CHOICE..DOES NOT….DOES….NOT….THEN ALLOW THEM TO PROFIT AS A RESULT. IF YOU WANT TO WORK IN THE ‘PRIVATE SECTOR’…FINE. BUT YOU DO NOT GET TO USE YOUR CONNECTIONS AND INFLUENCE IN GOVERNMENT JOBS AS ‘BIDING’ MATERIAL FOR A BETTER PRIVATE SECTOR JOB. THAT IS LITERALLY THE ‘ROOT’ OF CORRUPTION IN AMERICA’S FINANCIAL MARKETS TODAY.

THE “SECOND TIER” OF “PROTECTION” TO SHUT THE REVOLVING DOOR MUST COME IN THE FORM OF “REMOVAL OF TIMELINESS” FROM THE EQUATION.

THERE ARE ALREADY WEEK TO UN-ENFORCED “LAWS” ON THE BOOKS REGARDING “TRANSITION TO PRIVATE SECTOR” FORM “GOVERNMENT”.

THIS NEEDS TO BE “INCREASED” TO A LEVEL THAT MEANS…BASICALLY..THE FOLLOWING:

“IN ONE INDIVIDUALS LIFETIME THE TIME LIMITS IMPOSED ‘BETWEEN’ BEING ABLE TO LAWFULLY WORK FOR ‘PRIVATE SECTOR’ AND ‘GOVERNMENT POSITIONS’..WOULD BE SO LARGE..SAY AN ABSOLUTE MINIMUM OF 8 YEARS..THAT IT BECOMES SIMPLY IMPOSSIBLE TO EVER….EVER…MAINTAIN A “SYSTEM OF CONTACTS” THAT IS EVEN REMOTELY “CURRENT”. THUS REMOVING THE VERY REAL AND NOW ALL CONSUMING “INCENTIVE” FOR “TRANSITION” FROM CORPORATE TO GOVERNMENT/GOVERNMENT TO CORPORATE POSITIONS.

THE “CONTACTS” ANY…..A-N-Y (FROM ‘DEPARTMENT HEAD APPOINTED BY PRESIDENT’ TO ‘LOWEST SECRETARY’..WOULD BE POINTLESSLY ‘OUT DATED’.

IN OTHER WORDS…..LITERALLY….AND THIS IS SADLY..A VERY LITERAL ‘ANALOGY’….LITERALLY…UNDERMINE THE “SELL BY:” DATE TO SUCH AN EXTENT THAT “CONNECTIONS” BECOME POINTLESS.

“CONNECTIONS” AND “INFLUENCE” HAVE BECOME THE “NEW CURRENCY” IN THE CORPORATE GOVERNMENT.

    THIS IS THE REALITY.

IF WE UNDERMINE THIS SYSTEM WITH LAWS AND “RE-DEFINITION” OF THE “CONCEPTS”…WE COULD REALLY…ACTUALLY…”WIN”.

THE REALITY OF CORPORATE TO GOVERNMENT AND GOVERNMENT TO CORPORATE “EMPLOYMENT”..IS THE…”THE”..ENTIRE ROOT AND FOUNDATION FOR LITERALLY…’EVERY OTHER SITUATION THAT MUST BE ALTERED NOW IF DEMOCRACY IS TO SURVIVE”.

THUS IT IS IN FACT THE “ANSWER” TO THE “OTHER 2″ ISSUES AS WELL.

THEY DO IN FACT (MEDIA CONSOLIDATION ETC…)..BEGIN AND END WITH THIS REALITY:

“CORRUPTION AND INFLUENCE OF THOSE MAKING AND ENFORCING THE ‘RULES’ TRADING THEIR ‘STATUS’ BETWEEN CORPORATE AND GOVERNMENT AGENCIES.\

    FOR EXAMPLE:

SUCH A “RE-DEFINING” OF POST FACTUM BRIBERY AND ‘EMPLOYMENT RULES’..WOULD HAVE MADE IT..”ILLEGAL” FOR OBAMA TO APPOINT..MORE CORPORATE LOBBYISTS AND “CZARS” TO CRITICAL…LITERALLY..ABSOLUTELY….. CRITICAL…GOVERNMENT AGENCIES…THAN (GET THIS)…

    “ANY…OTHER…PRESIDENT…..EVER!”

THAT’S RIGHT FOLKS..OBAMA (AND I’M A PROGRESSIVE..SO THIS AIN’T “THAT”)…HAS APPOINTED (APPOINTMENTS AVOID CONGRESSIONAL OVERSIGHT..A CRITICAL ‘ELEMENT’ OF THE REAL..OBAMA ‘AGENDA’) MORE CORPORATE “EMPLOYEE’S”…THAN ANY OTHER PRESIDENT IN HISTORY.

AND..SOME OF THE MOST HEINOUS..EXTREME..VICIOUS…SCUMBAGS..ON THE PLANET TO BOOT.

LIKE 30 YEAR “CHIEF LOBBYIST” FOR DIABOLICALLY EVIL MAGGOT CORPORATION “MONSANTO”..AKA “MICHAEL TAYLOR” TO THE………….FDA (!?!?!?!?!?!?)

OR? OR? OR? OR? OR? OR? OR? OR? OR? OR?

THE “LIST” IS SO LONG IT IS TRULY MIND-NUMBING..A STUPEFYING “STUDY” IN CORRUPTION AND DECEIT.

    AND..IT CONTINUES UNABATED.

FINALLY..I TOO..REALIZE..THE ‘IMPEDIMENT” TO IMPLEMENTATION OF ANY SORT OF “CHANGES” TO THE VERY SYSTEMS AND “OFFICES” AND “CAREERS” OF THE VERY PEOPLE MAKING THE “RULES”.

“HOW DO WE DO THIS WHEN THEY ARE IN CONTROL?”

WELL..I HAVE A SOLUTION FOR THAT TOO:

    “THE NATIONAL BALLOT MEASURE”.

    YUP!

LET THE “PEOPLE” DECIDE ON THE OUTCOME OF A VARIETY OF ISSUES IN A NATIONAL BALLOT MEASURE PROCESS.

    BASICALLY..”PUT IT TO A VOTE”.

SUCH A SYSTEM WOULD BE IMPOSSIBLE FOR VERY DIRECT ISSUES OF EVERY TYPE.

BUT..THE “BROADER” ASPECTS..COULD ABSOLUTELY BE “DECIDED” OR EVEN MASSIVELY “INFLUENCED” BY THE VOTERS TURNING OUT TO LEND THEIR VOICES.

    SAY..FOR EXAMPLE…”ABORTION”.

    OR “DRUG POLICY”.

    OR…”DEFINING BRIBERY”.

THESE COULD BE “BALLOT MEASURE ISSUES”.
    YET ON A NATIONAL SCALE.

ISSUES LIKE “GAY RIGHTS”..AND “ABORTION”..AND “DRUGS”..AND “CITIZENS UNITED” OOPS..”CORPORATE FINANCING OF ELECTIONS”..COULD BE DECIDED ONCE AND FOR ALL…BY THE “VOTERS”.

AND EVEN WITH COURT CHALLENGES…THE “MESSAGE” WOULD BE…ABSOLUTELY…CLEAR. AS OPPOSED TO THE CONSTANT “MEDIA INTERPRETATIONS” THAT ARE CURRENTLY CALLED “CLARITY”…THIS WOULD BE LITERALLY..’THE BIG OPINION” AND AS SUCH WOULD CAUSE ALL MANNER OF AWARENESS AND SUPPORT FROM CANDIDATES TO BUSINESSES WHO WOULD SEE THE “MAJORITY VOTE” EVEN IF SHUT DOWN BY THE “COURTS” AS A CLEAR MESSAGE UPON WHICH TO ACT.

SEE..ITS ‘CLARITY” THAT IS NOW SO..LACKING IN AMERICA.

THIS IS NOW IRREFUTABLY “INTENTIONAL”..WITH BOTH GOVERNMENT AND CORPORATE MEDIA DOING ALL THEY CAN TO IN FACT “FOG” THE ISSUES.

A NATIONAL BALLOT MEASURE PROCESS..WOULD CLARIFY BEYOND ALL DOUBT”…EVERY ISSUE BROUGHT UP FOR A ‘VOTE’.

EVEN THE “NATIONAL SIGNATURE GATHERING PROCESS’ ALONE WOULD BE A KIND OF..”DE FACTO MANDATE”.

    AND FINALLY..IN THE ULTIMATE..FINAL..ANALYSIS…THE REALLY TRAGIC PART..THE GRIMMEST ASPECT…THE SADDEST..MOST..PATHETIC…REALITY IS THIS:

    YOU…..YEAH…Y-O-U….ARE IN FACT….ALMOST CERTAINLY…………

FINANCING THE DESTRUCTION OF YOUR OWN LIBERTY.

IF AMERICANS WERE TO UNITE…IN “TAX PROTEST”..OVER THESE 3 ISSUES (THOSE LISTED IN THE ARTICLE)…AND LITERALLY..CONDUCT A “UNION STYLE TAX STRIKE WITH A LIST OF DEMANDS FOR MANAGEMENT”….WELL..THIS WOULD ALL BE RESOLVED AND OVER..VERY…VERY.VERY……QUICKLY.

    THAT IS THE SADDEST ASPECT.

    FOR IT IS NOW AN IRREFUTABLE FACT….THAT YOU…YES…YOU…AND YOU..AND YOU…AND YOU….DO NOT IN FACT…”WANT”…..”CHANGE”.

FOR IF YOU REALLY DID..IT IS ACTUALLY…THIS EASY:

“DON’T PAY FOR WHAT YOU ARE NOT RECEIVING!”

Y’KNOW….THAT ‘FREE MARKET” WE’RE ALWAYS HEARING ABOUT.

SIMPLY….IMPOSE ECONOMIC SANCTIONS ON THIS ROGUE GOVERNMENT.

    BUT..YOU WON’T!

INSTEAD..THE RATIONALIZING AND DENIAL..THE COGNITIVE DISSONANCE UTILIZED TO STRAIGHT UP “EXCUSE” WHAT AMOUNTS TO TOTAL..KNOWING..IN-ACTION…IS TANTAMOUNT TO A “REALITY SHOW”.

    “THE DENIAL SHOW”.

WITH BOTH LEFT AND RIGHT GOING TO GREATER AND GREATER EXTREMES TO PRETEND THAT “THERE’S NOTHING WE CAN DO EXCEPT PROTEST ETC..ETC..” AND YET NEVER..EVER…DO YOU HEAR THE WORDS COME FROM THE “ORGANIZATIONAL LEVEL”:

    ‘SIMPLY….STOP….PAYING…FOR… THE…DESTRUCTION…OF…. YOUR…OWN…FREEDOM!’

    NOPE!

    DAS IST “VERBOTEN”!

    IT IS THE UNSPOKEN REALITY.

YOUR CONTINUED AND UNQUESTIONED PAYMENT..IS TACIT APPROVAL.

THAT IS THE FINAL REALITY IN ALL OF THIS.

ALL THEY WANT FROM YOU..IS OBEDIENCE AND CONTINUED FINANCING!

    PERIOD!

    AND YOU OFFER BOTH!

THAT IS “WHY” THIS IS HAPPENING!

BECAUSE YOU…ARE AGREEING TO THEIR ACTIONS AND DECISIONS BY PAYING FOR THEIR IMPLEMENTATION!

    PERIOD!

AND THIS IS WHY IT WILL CONTINUE UNABATED.

BECAUSE YOUR “WORDS” IN THE FACE OF CONTINUED PAYMENT…MEAN NOTHING.

    LESS THAN NOTHING IN FACT!

THE AMERICAN PUBLIC..MUST RE-CLAIM “RESPONSIBILITY”. AND ACT…RESPONSIBLY..WITH THEIR MONEY.

THAT ALONE IS THE “REAL” SOLUTION TO QUITE LITERALLY..”EVERY” PROBLEM WE NOW FACE.

    BUT..”RESPONSIBILITY”? YEAH…RIGHT!

    NEVER HAPPEN!

    THE “GRAND EXPERIMENT”..FAILED!

    ITS OVER!

We need to say UNITED STATES and not consistently use AMERICA.

Mexico, Canada, Central and South America call themselves who they are, countries within the Hemisphere.

They could all call themselves America, but don’t do so. Why does the U.S. ?

I don’t disagree with the three ‘necessities’, but it seems the one underlying neccessity is that thing called ‘democracy’ – we can do as we want, in terms of fixing these three and the many other problems we face, if ‘we the people’ control ‘our’ countries – as long as we allow ourselves to be tv-watching sheep in a country controlled by the capitalist predators, they really don’t care what we ‘demand’ about anything. Easy to say, of course, much more difficult to arrange. But it does take the great waking up of a lot of people first, and that does not seem to be anywhere on the horizon. But we all must keep fighting, and hope something good will come of it. Towards the end of a longer essay ( What Happened http://www.rudemacedon.ca/what-happened.html ) I offer my thoughts on what needs to happen if we are to take back our countries and lives here – http://www.rudemacedon.ca/what-happened.html#FOURFOLD .

With compassion I don’t mean a bleeding heart full of sympathy but to do whatever is needed to bring much needed awareness in this situation we are facing here .

This is an exceptionally perceptive article, correctly arguing that we can’t fight the bankers on all fronts, and must focus on the few most important ones. It could however be argued that even these three fronts are two fronts too many. We can only save ourselves by focusing on one root at a time, and we must choose the weakest of the three. For a detailed argument along these lines, see: http://trumpeter.athabascau.ca/index.php/trumpet/article/view/205/278

Sam Warner is putting his finger at the root of our problem. We do not understand our monetary system. In our system banks great money, not the government. (That statement will seem outlandish to those who do understand our system, but it is true.)

The banks create money as debt. Let me explain. When a bank customer asked for a loan, the bank does not give him already existing money. Rather, the bank creates CREDIT out of thin air. Then the bank customer spends the CREDIT to buy something. Let’s say a car. So the bank creates $25,000 in CREDIT which the customer gives to the car dealer in exchange for the car.

Now to the car dealer the CREDIT has turned into MONEY for him because he does not have a debt on it. But the bank customer owes $25,000 plus interest to the bank. So the money IS debt when you look at society as a whole. This is the way virtually all the money is created in the United States, and this is the source of our financial problems.

Simply reflection will reveal that such a system can only work if the society accepts a greater and greater amount of debt. When the society slows its rate of bank loans, the total amount of credit/money in the society begins to decline. That is what has been happening in the U.S. for the last two years or so. Under our current system we will not begin to see a change for the better until the society begins again to accept greater and greater amounts of debt. Why? Because money IS debt. It is a crazy system.

The North Dakota State Bank operates exactly as all other banks. They make loans to customers who then spend the CREDIT to buy something (let’s say a car). Once the bank customer spends the CREDIT to purchase the car, the CREDIT instantly turns into money for the car dealer.

Henry Ford believed the American public would rebel if they understood these facts. What do you think?

We can quickly solve our financial system by creating money in some manner that will not at the same time create debt. I will gladly volunteer to create all the money we need in our society without any corresponding debt. I can make it work if you can persuade about 300 million Americans to accept my created money AS money. I will create the money on my keyboard and send it to every state in the nation.

Obviously, you will find very few of the 300 million Americans that will allow me to create the money. Most would rather have that privilege for themselves. So who should create money in the United States?

The Constitution gives that sovereign power to the Federal Government. Someone or some institution must create society’s money. Our society is falling apart because we have transferred the power to create money as debt to the banking community. We must change the way our society creates money.

History has proven quite useful and always repeats itself. To change America we need to go to the core of the problem…corruption. We the people must come together and fight the bureaucracy and return to the government which our founding fathers wanted. A government that protects our liberty and equality. To achieve this they had to rebel against Britain. In our case we must go against our own government. Like many countries/empires before us that also fell because of corruption, France, Russia, and many others. The people who ran those countries were the middle and lower classes, without them there is no salvation. So they did what they had to do and that was to Coup d’état the government. That’s what I propose we do as citizens of America and take over the corrupt nation of America and bring back the Constitution that our fathers wrote and sacrificed for. If we do not do this our country will fall more and more until there is no more democracy left for childrens children. We will look back and say we had a chance to save America but we stood back and let corruption, money, and the greedy destroy this great country.

Add one CRITICAL item to the list:

Eliminate our current “debt based” monetary system and replace it with a debt-free “wealth based” monetary system.

This may sound arcane and complex, but without doing this, the bankers will maintain their stranglehold on the nation’s money supply and no matter what other changes we make, we will just end up right back where we are now.
